Ece Erbuğ received her bachelor’s degree from the Department of Sociology at Middle East Technical University (METU) and completed her master’s degree in the Social Studies on Turkey Program at Galatasaray University. She earned her PhD from the Department of Sociology at Hacettepe University with a dissertation focusing on the relationship between flexible forms of work and the construction of masculine identity.

Specializing in gender, women’s studies, and the sociology of work, Erbuğ has conducted projects on gender equality and women’s entrepreneurship and has taught courses at various universities. Alongside her academic work, she has gained experience in management processes in the private sector, working in the fields of communication, coordination, and organization. A member of the Sociological Association (Sosyoloji Derneği), Erbuğ volunteers with the Agena Education Platform and plays volleyball recreationally.
